Bro There used to say he was going to be a millionaire by the time he was 40. I also remember him once saying what he wanted do when he grew up was to put caps on toothpaste (this was about middle school age). Oh the things that older sisters remember.
Brother here doesn't seem to be much bothered by the passing of the milestone 50. Or he just isn't showing it. Maybe between facing losing his job of 20 odd years and having his truck break down this week, he's been too busy to have a midlife crisis. Or rather, not one of the kind one thinks of.
I remember when his son once asked him when he was going to have one those. Went something like this.
Son: "Diddy, when you gonna have one of those things?"
Dad: "What things?"
Son: "Ya know when you wanna go and buy a BMW (or was it a Red Corvette?)..."
I don't know what the years have in store for us. But, Mom and Dad must have done something right, cause were still friends! And I expect we always will be.
