Intelligent Design

Several days ago I stumbled upon a neat blog or website about Intelligent Design. They had a cool video clip animating the complexities of cell design. I remember thinking this one part looked like an earth worm inching along on a monorail poised over space. So, thinking about how neat that was, I wanted to try to find it again but couldn't remember how I got there. (It wasn't by doing a search on those two words.)

Not remembering how I had got to it, I tried searching ID to see if I could find it again that way. That was how I found a blog with the words Intelligent Design in the name, but that was actually mocking the idea of ID. It started out sounding reasonable, but I was actually amazed at what this fairly intelligent fellow (I guess I'm basing that assessment on vocabulary) was proposing as an argument against ID. He said that the human eye is not very well designed, discussing why in detail, and therefore it must have been a mistake of evolution! I left a comment, I hope it wasn't unkind, but I told him that I thought it was an arrogant idea. I shake my head in amazement at it even now!

I have personally thought many times about how the eye argues for the idea of a designer. It just seems so amazing to me to think that all the parts needed to make an eye, the eyeball and the brain, something to look at even!, considering all of the amazing complexity of seeing doesn't just make a person feel full of awe at an amazing God.
