Independence Day, the Whole Story has not been told

This is the 4th of July, 2009.

I didn't go to a parade today, and I'm probably going to spend the whole day by myself. Sigh!

However, here's a bright spot in my day. I listened to a good Independence Day broadcast on my local Christian Radio station on Janet Parshall's Talking it Over.

Listening to the program I was reminded how much so the United States of America was founded by Christians, yes there were other folks also. But there were many strong Christians who based their thinking on the Bible. It's generally not pc to talk about such subjects so it isn't being told enough (I think). When I hear about them, the sacrifices they made and the ideals they upheld I feel so thankful.

It supposedly violates an ideal of the separation of Church and state to talk about these people in schools today. So if you want to know you have to do some investigation for yourself.

I need to do some more reading before I can do any justice to talking about this subject. But I think a good place to go would be the Wallbuilder's website for all kinds of information along these lines.

The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness.

Let's remember and be thankful to God for our freedoms this 4th of July (and the rest of the year)!
